School Accolades & Profile

Ator Elementary is a Leader in Me school. We are teaching children how to manage their priorities, focus on goals, and be a positive influence on the world. Leader in Me helps students learn how to become self-reliant, take initiative, plan ahead, set and track goals, do their homework, prioritize their time, manage their emotions, be considerate of others, express their viewpoint persuasively, resolve conflicts, find creative solutions, value differences, and live a balanced life. The process helps students develop the skills and self-confidence they need to lead their lives and succeed in school and beyond.

Our site is one of nine elementary schools in Owasso. We are located north of 86th St. N. Ator has a long history of educating children and welcoming families. Established in 1968 Ator was the third elementary school in Owasso. We are fortunate as an Owasso school and thankful to OPS for their ongoing efforts to maintain smaller class sizes in our elementary schools.

Ator is made up of a compassionate building of educators who are trained in best instructional practices and the implementation of Leader in Me. We are proud to state that all of the teachers at Ator are highly qualified educational and instructional professionals. Our support professionals in varying roles complement and support our school helping to make Ator the BEST. Our entire school family works together to create a personalized caring learning environment and overall school culture that is second to none.

Ator educators utilize a multi-tiered system of support for all learners to assist their academic growth and development, and student successes are celebrated. Our school houses a number of educational programs such as music education, physical education, technology education, special education, enrichment education, English language development education, and support services through the Owasso Indian Education Department.
